As part of my work in artist development and A&R, I supported an emerging artist from Iceland, Taramina, in the creation and promotion of their debut project.

My role involved contributing to the development of their album, offering creative direction and feedback to help shape a cohesive sound and identity. Alongside the music production process, I also supported their social media marketing strategy, focusing on building an audience and increasing engagement across platforms.

In addition, I assisted with securing live performance opportunities, helping to book concerts and expand their presence within the local music scene. A key achievement was supporting efforts to gain airplay on Icelandic radio RÚV, alongside other Icelandic radio platforms, increasing their exposure to a wider audience.

As a result of this work, Taramina achieved over 12,000 streams across streaming services within a year, demonstrating measurable growth and audience reach.

This experience reflects my ability to combine creative development with strategic marketing to support emerging artists in building their careers.

In 2024, I independently created and released original music under the stage name Yanchou. This involved the full creative process, from developing ideas and producing tracks to finalising and preparing them for release.

I distributed my music across major streaming platforms, gaining practical experience in digital distribution, release planning, and audience reach. This process allowed me to understand how to position music effectively within the industry while building my own artistic identity.

Through this work, I developed both my creative and technical skills, as well as a deeper understanding of how independent artists can successfully release and promote their music.
